Desert Getaway, Palm Springs, CA
An hour flight to be transported to a different climate, landscape and time period? Sign me up. Lucky enough that’s the case being in San Francisco with iconic Palm Springs only a hop, skip and a short flight into a succulent filled universe. Located smack dab in the middle of the desert, Palm Springs is one of my favorite quick getaways. Three things come to mind regarding Palm Springs; heat, palm trees, and drool-worthy mid-century architecture. Summer days reach triple digits so lounging the day away poolside is an ideal plan. If not poolside, traversing this desert town to ogle the dreamy architecture is essential. Palm Springs is home to the highest concentration of mid-century architecture in the world, reason enough to fall in love.
