Parking Lot Pimping with designer Aya By DK, Los Angeles

Dina Kabdolla is the beauty behind the Los Angeles based brand Aya By DK. Think eclectic streetwear with added bling.  Metallic threads wove there way throughout her latest collection adding just the right touch of shimmer to pants and jackets. Dark nights in closed parking lots make for the perfect backdrop. Pair this scenario with Kabdolla’s shimmery street wear that popped off of model Nyang Reat’s flawless complexion making for some true parking lot pimping.

Libertine Fall Winter Collection, Los Angeles

Johnson Hartig landed in Los Angeles with his line Libertine, showcasing it as a welcome back to LA. The collection was received with open arms by the stylish set that showed up anticipating the arrival. Known for intricate embellishments from head-to-toe, the label showed up in LA in true Libertine fashion. Proper lady-like looks with references to the 40’s were made edgy with candy-colored stacked bracelets and crystal-embellished patchwork and sequins. The sequins made their way to the slender fresh-faced models creating starburst illusions around the eyes. French twists were topped off with feather like wisps. The menswear held a sort of streetwear charm. The men’s collection included bomber jackets, tracksuits, and hoodies. A repetitive apple tree pattern wove its way across shorts and blazers quite refreshing for Fall.

Back to The Future with Romy Collection, Los Angeles

With a Haitian mother and Swedish father, raised in Rome, lived in Miami, studied fashion in New York, residing in Dubai, Romy Hourani is a true woman of the world. Her worldly eye and fashion sense blossomed into her line Romy Collection. Her edgy feminine aesthetic recently landed on the runways of Los Angeles. Incorporating dramatic shoulders, puffed sleeves and deep v's, we're reminded of the '80s with her Fall collection. Bright pinks, bold blues and striking plaids made for a fun color palette. Romy sources vintage fabrics for her collection and this one was full of luxurious tulle, silks, and velvets. The 80's inspiration was made modern taking us back into the future.

Late Nights at Canters Delicatessen with Envy Model Alex, Los Angeles

Last call usually signifies few options for food and an insatiable hunger that will make you settle for what you can get. Thank goodness for 24 hour establishments like Canter's, a Los Angeles staple. This no frills diner has been around since the 30's and serves up large portions on the cheap and played as the perfect backdrop for our late-night impromptu photo shoot.

Taking you backstage at Los Angeles Fashion Week

It truly does take a village. Backstage at any fashion show is a mix of organized chaos. Models floating around, sounds of blow dryers in the air, faces being beat to perfection, it’s a beautiful mess. I journeyed backstage during Los Angeles Fashion Week to get lost in the energy of hair and beauty by Redken, Doll House Team, Hot Roller Girl and nails by Zoya
